This is a beautiful blue dumortierite, and fairly uncommon stone and such a pretty one.  Hand set in sterling silver with a sterling band. Perfect on its own or with your favorite stacking bands. 

Note: Gemstones do not all have the same hardness which means some are more susceptible to scratches or dings than others. If struck with force, some stones may break more easily than others. I always advise treating stones with care and recognizing that most stones do not have the same hardness as your run of the mill diamond.
